Who is Alabama Termite & Pest Services?
Alabama Termite & Pest Services is a family-owned pest control company with two Alabama offices: Bessemer for Birmingham Metro and Lillian for Baldwin County and the Gulf Coast. Our family has served Alabama since 1963. Services include general pest control, termite protection, mosquito control, rodent control, and commercial programs.
The company holds Alabama Department of Agriculture & Industries business license #12246. Both offices are open Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM CT, and estimates are free.
Alabama pests don’t need much to move in.
In Alabama, pest pressure is driven by moisture, shade, shelter, food sources, and easy entry points. A quick spray can knock activity down, but it usually does not fix the conditions that keep feeding the problem.
Moisture zones
Crawlspaces, shaded foundations, drains, and damp landscaping can support termites, roaches, mosquitoes, and other pests.
Entry routes
Gaps, vents, utility lines, garages, and rooflines can allow insects and rodents to move inside.
Repeat pressure
Ants, roaches, spiders, rodents, and mosquitoes often return when the source conditions are left alone.
Structural risk
Termites require a different level of inspection and protection because they can threaten the structure itself.

Pest control in Alabama built around the problem.
Different pests require different treatment strategies. Start with the problem you see, then get a Free Estimate that confirms what is active and why.
One treatment stops today. A plan stops next season.
Alabama pest pressure does not take the year off. Heat, humidity, crawl spaces, and vegetation keep pushing activity toward your house through most of the calendar. A Safeguard plan keeps the perimeter treated so the problem has a harder time rebuilding.
Recommended for most homes
Quarterly service
Four visits a year, timed to how Alabama pest pressure moves through the seasons. The technician treats the exterior perimeter, checks entry points and moisture conditions, and handles interior activity when you need it.
- Covers ants, roaches, spiders, and general household pests
- Exterior perimeter treatment at every visit
- Granular yard treatment on every Safeguard plan
- Free call-backs if activity continues 14 days after treatment
- 12-month agreement or month-to-month — your choice
For heavier pressure
Monthly service
Twelve visits a year for properties that need a tighter interval. Usually the right call for heavy roach or ant pressure, a wooded or low-lying lot, a rental with frequent turnover, or a property where quarterly has not held.
- Everything in quarterly, on a monthly interval
- Shorter gaps between treatments
- Better for properties with a recurring history
- Free call-backs if activity continues 14 days after treatment
- 12-month agreement or month-to-month — your choice
What Safeguard plans cost
Safeguard plans start at $39 a month. Most homes start for $69 with a 12-month agreement. If you prefer no commitment, month-to-month is available at the regular initial. If you cancel a 12-month plan early, you pay back the discount on your start, nothing more.
Pest and termite stay separate
We write them as two agreements on purpose, so you can see exactly what each one covers and what each one costs. They can be bundled if you want both. Ask during the estimate.
These are general terms. The right plan and interval depend on the pest, the property, and what the technician finds. Your technician reviews every option with you before any work starts.

Termite service should not be treated like routine pest control. Termite protection depends on construction type, moisture conditions, access points, and actual evidence found during inspection.
Alabama’s termite pressure is well documented, including ongoing concern around termites in Alabama and coastal areas such as Baldwin County.
- Inspection for evidence, moisture, shelter tubes, wood contact, and conditions that raise risk
- Options based on the property, not a one-size-fits-all recommendation
- Monitored Trelona® bait stations with an annual inspection included
- Liquid and combination treatments, priced after the estimate
- Coverage is re-treatment only and transfers to the buyer when you sell
Trelona® baiting: $499 setup, then $30 a month on qualifying homes. Twelve months the first year, then month to month. The setup fee covers the stations because we own them outright and are a smaller family-run operation. These are general terms. Your technician reviews every option with you before any work starts.

We look for activity, entry points, moisture zones, pest pressure, and conditions that matter. The estimate is free.
Explain
You get clear findings, straightforward options, and a price before treatment begins.
Treat
We use a targeted approach based on the pest and the structure, not a generic spray-and-go plan.
Follow through
On a plan and still seeing activity 14 days after treatment? Call, and we come back at no charge.
You should know what is being applied and where.
Most homeowners ask about pets and children before they ask about price. That is a fair question, and you should get a direct answer before anyone treats your property.
You get told first
The technician explains what is being applied, where it is going, and why, before treatment starts.
Targeted placement
Materials go into cracks, voids, perimeters, and harborage areas rather than broadcast across living space.
Re-entry guidance
You get clear instructions on when to bring pets back in, when kids can use treated areas, and what to keep covered.
Label compliance
Every product is applied according to its EPA-registered label. Alabama Termite & Pest Services holds Alabama Department of Agriculture & Industries business license #12246, and the technician working your property holds individual permit #7000240.
Tell the office about pets, aquariums, beehives, garden beds, or anyone in the home with sensitivities. That changes what gets recommended and how it gets applied.
The EPA publishes homeowner guidance on pest control and pesticide safety, including how to read a product label and what questions to ask a pest control company.

Here is what is covered, what is not, and what it costs you when activity returns. You get all of it in writing before you sign, and the technician who inspected your property walks you through it in person.
Termite returns cost nothing
If termite activity shows up on a property we protect, we come back and re-treat at no additional charge, and we are back out within 48 hours of your report. That response time is part of the agreement, not a courtesy.
Re-treatment, not repair
Our termite agreement covers re-treatment. It does not cover repair of structural damage. Some companies sell repair bonds at a higher price. Ask which one you are being quoted, here or anywhere else.
It transfers when you sell
Termite coverage transfers to the buyer at closing, which makes the protection part of what you are selling.
Your pest plan, your term
Start for $69 with a 12-month agreement, or choose month-to-month at the regular initial. If you cancel a 12-month plan early, you pay back the discount on your start. Nothing more.
Free call-backs on pest service
On a pest control plan and still seeing activity? Give the treatment 14 days first, because most products need that long to reach the nest or harborage. If activity continues after day 14, call and we come back at no charge.
Licensed, permitted, insured

Termite and pest control are written as separate agreements so you can see exactly what each one covers. Coverage depends on the property, the construction type, and what the inspection finds. Full terms are in your written agreement before anything is signed.

Common questions before scheduling pest control.
The questions homeowners and businesses ask most often before scheduling pest control or termite protection with Alabama Termite & Pest Services.
How much does pest control cost?
Safeguard pest control plans start at $39 a month. Most homes start for $69 with a 12-month agreement, and month-to-month service is available at the regular initial. Termite protection with Trelona® bait stations is $499 for setup, then $30 a month on qualifying homes. These are general terms. Your technician reviews every option with you before any work starts. Full details are on our plans and pricing page.
Is the estimate free?
Yes. The estimate is free for homeowners and businesses in the Birmingham Metro and Baldwin County service areas. The technician looks for active pest or termite evidence, entry points, moisture conditions, and the conditions that allow pests to return. You get the findings, your options, and the price before any treatment begins.
Am I locked into a contract?
You choose. A Safeguard pest plan can start at a discount with a 12-month agreement, or you can go month-to-month at the regular initial. If you cancel a 12-month plan early, you pay back the discount on your start, nothing more. Termite baiting runs 12 months the first year, then month to month.
What if I still see pests between visits?
Give the last treatment 14 days first. Most products are designed to move through a colony and reach the nest or harborage, so activity in the first two weeks is often the treatment working. If activity continues after day 14, call the office and we come back at no charge.
What happens if termites come back?
If termite activity appears on a property we protect, we return and re-treat at no additional charge, and we respond within 48 hours of your report. Coverage is re-treatment only and does not include repair of structural damage. Termite coverage transfers to the buyer when you sell the home.
Is termite control different from general pest control?
Yes. Termites are structural pests, so termite control should not be handled like routine general pest service. A termite recommendation should consider the construction type, moisture conditions, crawl space or slab details, visible evidence, and the right protection system for the property. The EPA also explains how to identify and control termites.
What about my pets and my kids?
Tell the office before the visit. Pets, aquariums, beehives, garden beds, and anyone in the home with sensitivities all change what the technician recommends and how it is applied. Every product is applied according to its EPA-registered label. Before treatment starts, you get told what is being applied and where. After treatment, you get instructions on when pets and children can return to treated areas.
